Deepest Experience 12 m.
General Remarks Site In front of Balugo village, black sand beach with quite some big fishing boats. Palm trees and on the back the nice Leyte mountains.
Facilities for Divers None.
Type of Bottom Just below the beach stones over about 15 m. Then black sand that changes into white sand and then mud, over a distance of about 300 m where one is about 15 m deep.
Marine Life Almost no corals, only sand and mud with its typical fauna. Quite amazing diversity of all kinds of critters, fish virtually absent.
Visibility About 10 m on a good day.
Currents No currents at the time of our visits.
